What’s this all about?

Follow the Light
On January 7, 2008 I joined a few other photographic friends in a quest to take a picture everyday. It has been a excellent learning experience that has increased my photography skills and changed the way that I look at the world! After 298 days my camera’s eye is always on, always searching and cataloging ideas and scenarios for future pictures.
It has taught me to look at the light and the way it dances, bends, bounces and explodes across the wrinkles of life. So when the the late afternoon sun is casting it’s low horizontal rays through the trees, that’s where you will find me. I will be out there following the light to see what natural wonder will be illuminated next!
Follow the light! It’s an excellent piece of advice even if you aren’t taking pictures!
Success!
On January 6, 2009 I completed my Picture a Day Project – 366 days of taking a picture every day. Actually it came out to be more than 366 images because I took a lot more than just one picture a day. I don’t have an exact total yet but I do know that it was more than 30,000 images! The really hard part was trying to decide which picture to use every day. But it was quite an adventure and I recommend it to everyone who is looking to expand your photographic and creative thinking skills. Warning! You will develop a very strong habit and may not be able to stop after the first year.
I don’t have the entire year posted on this blog yet but if you want to see all 366 images CLICK HERE.
